Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using the Journnah app. By downloading or using the app, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Journnah — and no harm done.
Journnah is a personal journaling and spiritual reflection app. You may use it for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. You agree not to:
The journal entries, reflections, and other content you create in the app ("Your Content") belong to you. We do not claim ownership over Your Content.
You are responsible for Your Content. By using the app, you confirm that Your Content does not violate any applicable laws or the rights of any third party.
We do not access, read, or use Your Content for any purpose other than storing and syncing it on your behalf, as described in our Privacy Policy.
You may use Journnah without an account. If you create one, you are responsible for the security of your credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at journnahapp@journnah.ca if you suspect unauthorised use.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
The verse text and translations displayed in the app are sourced from publicly available APIs and datasets. We have made reasonable efforts to ensure accuracy, but we make no warranty as to the completeness or correctness of any translation or transliteration. For matters of religious guidance, please consult qualified scholars.
Journnah is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. Your use of the app is at your own risk.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Journnah and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or related to your use of the app, including loss of data. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these terms or your use of the app shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim (which, for a free app, is zero).
The app uses third-party services including Clerk (authentication) and Supabase (cloud storage). Your use of those services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of those providers.
The Journnah name, the Vellum design system, the app's design, and all content we create (excluding Your Content and third-party Quranic data) are our intellectual property. You may not use, copy, or reproduce any of it without our written permission.
We may update the app or these terms at any time. We will indicate the date of the most recent update at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the app and, if applicable, delete your account.
You may stop using the app at any time. You may also request deletion of your account and data by writing to journnahapp@journnah.ca. We may terminate or suspend your access if you violate these terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of Canada. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the app shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Canada.
If you have questions about these terms, please contact us at journnahapp@journnah.ca.
By using Journnah, you acknowledge that you have read and understood these Terms of Service.
